Exclusive for the UK market; TurboChef Technologies have launched a brand new version of their market leading Sota rapid cook oven…
A version that doesn’t need a big power supply!
The TurboChef Sota rapid cook oven has taken pride of place in the range of TurboChef ovens, proving to be the most popular oven supplied by Taylor UK over the past twelve months. The charming good looks and small footprint have made it the ideal oven for back counter operations such as cafes, coffee shops and bistros who want to be able to offer more to their customers without going to the expense of fitting full kitchens and expensive extraction systems.
However, the original Sota wasn’t the ideal solution for everyone due to the power requirements of the standard oven. But, with a little pressure from the Taylor UK team, TurboChef Technologies have designed a new version of the Sota which runs off a standard 13amp plug. As a result, the Sota can literally go anywhere now!
The 13amp sota offers all of the features and benefits of the regular Sota and is the perfect option to replace boring old contact & Panini grills in your operation. Giving you the ability to add a far wider range of hot menu items to your business.
David Rees, Taylor UK’s chef made the comment; “What’s the point of sourcing different types of bread for your hot sandwiches which look great when they’re on display but once they’ve been squashed on a Panini grill they look like any other sandwich available on the high street. The Sota heats and toasts the item perfectly making it look as great coming out of the oven as it did going in!”
The programmability of the TurboChef ovens allows the operator to set the oven up to get the best finish from each and every product making it the best it could possibly be; nicely toasted, just hot enough to melt the cheese, hot enough so the filling hits 74⁰C.
“We set the oven up to cook how you want it, we don’t make you change your product to fit our oven.”
Some of the features of the TurboChef 13amp Sota Oven include:
Small footprint – The slim table top design allows the oven to be located almost anywhere making it perfect for front of house applications.
Reduced power requirements – The 13amp Sota runs off of a regular 13amp plug socket. Meaning it can be plugged into a standard ring main supply.
Ventless* – The oven comes fitted with a catalytic converter as standard, reducing the need for expensive extraction systems.
Energy efficient – The oven only draws 750 watts at idle, which is far less than a regular contact grill.
*Ventless certification is for all food items except for foods classified as “fatty raw proteins”. Such foods include; bone-in, skin-on chicken, raw hamburger meat, raw bacon, raw sausage, steaks etc. If cooking these types of foods, it is the customers responsibly to contact their local authority to ensure compliance with ventilation requirements.
